App Development Cost Calculator

Answer four questions and see a real fixed price and a build timeline — instantly, free, no email.

Most app cost calculators are lead-capture forms wearing a calculator costume. Twelve questions, a progress bar, and then a wall asking for your email before it shows you anything. When the number finally arrives it is a range so wide it tells you nothing.

This one is different in two ways. It answers instantly — the number updates as you click, with no steps, no wizard and no email box anywhere on the page. And it does not give you a range. It maps what you describe onto US APP Team's actual published price tiers, so what you see is a real fixed price we build to, plus a build timeline in weeks and a plain-English explanation of exactly which of your answers moved the number.

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and you can copy the whole estimate to your clipboard and take it anywhere.

01Which platforms do you need?

We build both from one codebase, so “both” is the normal answer — it does not double the price.

02What kind of app is it?
03Which features do you need?

Tick everything you are fairly sure about. You can change it later — the brief is where scope gets locked.

04How should it look?

How to use it

  1. Pick your platforms. Both iOS and Android is the normal answer — we ship both from one build, so it does not double the cost.
  2. Choose the app type that fits: simple (a few screens, no accounts), standard (accounts, saved data, notifications), or advanced (payments, live data, integrations).
  3. Tick the features you are fairly confident about — accounts, payments, push, maps, chat, uploads, offline mode, integrations, admin dashboard.
  4. Say whether you want a proven template styled to your brand or a custom design drawn from scratch.
  5. Read the tier, the price, the timeline and the 'why this tier' list, then hit Copy estimate to keep it — or start a brief to lock the scope and the price in.

Questions

How much does it cost to make an app?
With US APP Team it is one of three published fixed prices rather than an open-ended range. A simple app with a handful of screens and no accounts starts from $3,500. A standard app with user accounts, saved data and notifications starts from $7,500. An advanced app with payments, real-time data, integrations or a custom build is quoted individually up to $12,000. The calculator tells you which of the three your answers land in and why.
Is this estimate a real quote?
It is a genuine starting point, not a contract. The calculator maps your answers onto the same published tiers we actually build to, so it is the right order of magnitude rather than a marketing number. The exact scope and the final fixed price are confirmed in your app brief — and once that price is agreed, it does not move.
Does building for both iOS and Android cost twice as much?
No. We build both from a single codebase, so choosing both stores does not double the price. Picking a single platform trims roughly a week off store preparation, but it does not meaningfully reduce the build cost — which is why most people choose both.
Which features actually make an app more expensive?
Payments and subscriptions add the most, because they bring billing, receipts, refunds and extra app store review. Chat, offline mode, third-party integrations and an admin dashboard each add a meaningful amount because they need backend work beyond the app itself. Accounts, push notifications, maps and photo upload are comparatively light — they are well-trodden and we have shipped them many times.
Do I have to give you my email to see the number?
No. There is no email field, no signup, no gate and no download. The number appears the moment you click, and everything runs in your own browser — nothing you enter is uploaded or stored anywhere. If you want to keep the estimate, the copy button puts a plain-text summary on your clipboard.
